Are your physicians clinging to the past? Several new studies have found that physicians and patients are still holding on to outdated, and low-value services.

Physicians often order tests that were used regularly in the past, but that there is little need for today. Many physicians are resistant to change, which is evidenced by the fact that even physicians who were trained on how to avoid so-called “low-value care” still ordered the outdated tests as physicians who weren’t coached.
