The National Association of Healthcare Revenue Integrity's (NAHRI) 2019 Revenue Integrity Symposium is coming up in just a few months, and those who are planning to attend have a lot to look forward to. The Revenue Integrity Symposium will be held October 15–16 in Orlando.

I’m most looking forward to the opportunity to learn from others. The Revenue Integrity Symposium is known for being a premier event for revenue integrity and revenue cycle networking and education, bringing chargemaster, coding, billing, utilization review, and more together. The content, attendees, and speakers represent the truly multidisciplinary effort that goes into revenue integrity. You can view the full agenda here.

Join me on day one, Tuesday, October 15, at 10:40 a.m., for my session The ABCs of HCCs. Attendees can expect to come away with a solid understanding of Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) fundamentals and awareness of where compliance initiatives need to be established to protect revenue integrity. With the latest announcements from the government, new risk-based incentive programs are being established to encourage providers to care for those with chronic conditions. Commercial and government payers track chronic conditions using HCCs, and providers can track HCCs to better monitor and project reimbursement and compliance. In my own work, I’m monitoring the use of HCCs for reimbursement because I think it’s an ideal approach to track care across the continuum.

Don’t wait to register—get the early bird $100 discount if you register before August 17. NAHRI members get an additional $100 discount.

This event provides a can’t-miss opportunity to learn and make connections with your peers. I’m looking forward to seeing you there.
