Q: You previously wrote about the new HCPCS code and modifier for biosimilar products, but are there any additional new HCPCS codes coming for July?

A: CMS has released three additional HCPSC codes that will be effective July 1:

  • Q9981, rolapitant, oral, 1 mg
  • Q9982, flutemetamol F18, diagnostic, per study dose, up to 5 millicuries
  • Q9983, florbetaben F18, diagnostic, per study dose, up to 8.1 millicuries

The status indicators for these items will be included in the July update to the OPPS.
