Newly approved Recovery Auditor issues - 03/09/2016

CGI posted one new issue in one category to its CMS list for providers in Region B. (See link for individual state applicability.)

According to the CGI website, the new issue is:

For outpatient:

• Triaged, No Physician or Physician Extender Services. This issue targets emergency room services for triaged patients who are not seen by a qualified health practitioner or health practitioner extender. The facility is not entitled to emergency services payment for these patients, as these services are not provided incident to a physician’s service.
